Nicko cruises operate a modern and innovative fleet of ships that accommodate a manageable number of guests on their river cruises, giving you the space you need for maximum comfort. On board, you'll enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with a friendly crew to tend to your requirements and the spacious public areas offer plenty of seating to relax and socialise with fellow guests or simply find a cosy spot for some time on your own.
When you board your ship, you'll be given your cabin number where you'll be able to unpack and relax as your cruise begins. Cabins are stylish and comfortable with individually adjustable air conditioning, private facilities, TV, phone, hairdryer and safe.
Your holiday price is based on a main deck cabin, which are between 11.5m² and 14.5m² in size and feature non-opening windows. The main deck is the lowest deck onboard, and so windows on some of the ships are at the water line.
On the Bijou du Rhone, Seine Comtesse and Rhein Symphonie ships, main deck cabins are approximately 11m² in size, feature high, non-opening viewing windows, as well as a fold-down single bed and sofa bed.
Cabins on higher decks offer panoramic windows, and some feature French balconies. Upgrades are available for a supplement, please call and speak to one of our holiday advisors for more details.

Meals are served at set dining times and Nicko chefs are committed to providing interesting menus consisting of international and regional specialities. They not only offer a comprehensive breakfast buffet to get your day off to an excellent start, they also serve delicious dishes at lunchtime and evening dining is a real treat. The Nicko Cruises inclusive drinks package allows you to enjoy as many of the selection of hot and cold drinks as you like.

Freedom and flexibility is at the heart of each river cruise. At each destination you can choose to relax and use the facilities on board, step ashore and make your own discoveries or join an optional excursions (some excursions run alongside each other).
On each sailing, there are a number of included excursions in your package. All other excursions are optional and are available to book on board. It is worth noting that optional excursions run in both English and German and need a minimum number of participants in each language to operate. Your Holiday Director and cruise staff will be able to give more information once you are onboard.
Sailing advice: Sailing on the rivers of Europe can be influenced by factors such as water levels, both higher and lower than expected, affecting bridge and lock navigations. Wherever possible we will adhere to the published schedule, however in such unexpected eventualities it may be necessary to amend timings and ports of call. These decisions rest with the ship’s Captain whose ultimate responsibility is the safety of all passengers. *Itineraries and excursion programmes are subject to change.
Language: Your cruise will be shared with other international passengers. German and English is spoken onboard. All announcements and meetings are conducted in both German and English and daily programme and other literature will be available in both languages.
Clothing: We recommend wearing smart casual clothing for the evening and smarter attire for the Gala Dinner. Relaxed attire can be worn during the day for sightseeing and general relaxation around the ship. It is recommended to wear non-slip shoes on the outside decks.
Currency: The currency on board is the Euro.
