Itinerary

Day 1 UK - Munich

Today, you fly to Munich. On arrival you'll be transferred to your hotel in the pretty village of Zeller-Fusch, in the Austrian Alps. Get to know your travelling companions over a welcome drink and dinner at the hotel this evening. Meals included: D

Day 2 Salzburg & Königsee

Today we'll make our way to the historic city of Salzburg for a guided tour. It is one of Europe's best-preserved city and renowned for its Baroque architecture. In the afternoon, we'll cross over the border to Germany, to visit Königsee - a natural lake in the southeast German state of Bavaria, near the Austrian border. Most of the lake sits in the Berchtesgaden National Park and it is Germany’s deepest lake. We'll enjoy a boat ride on the lake to take in our stunning surroundings.

Day 3 Grossglockner High Alpine Road & Krimml Waterfalls

This morning, we'll board our coach and head up the incredible Grossglockner Hochalpenstraße. This High Alpine Road twists and turns through stunning mountain landscapes. Count how many turns in total it takes to reach the top. We'll enjoy the glorious panorama from the top before the coach takes us down the other side of the mountain to enjoy some free time in the medieval town of Lienz. On our way back towards the hotel, we'll stop for a visit at Krimml Waterfalls – the highest in Austria.

Day 4 Zeller-Fusch - At Leisure

Today, you'll have a day to enjoy the facilities at the resort, or join our optional excursion to explore more alpine history. A coach transfer will take us to the start of the cable car up to Wildekogel, where our local hiking guide will join and accompany us up the mountain. Once at the top, we'll enjoy a short guided panoramic tour and then you'll have some free time to enjoy a coffee or lunch at the top of the mountain before returning back down via the gondola. Next stop is the Celtic Village open air museum where we'll enjoy a short guided tour, before returning back to the hotel. Meals included: B,D

Day 5 Austrian Lake District

We have already visited the 'Sound of Music' capital and so today it's time for us to enjoy a panoramic drive through the lake district of Salzburg, where we'll stop at Mondsee and other famous spots. The icing on the cake for today is the picturesque lakeside village of Hallstatt, where a local guide will show us around and tell the history about this UNESCO Heritage Site. Afterwards, we'll return to our hotel for dinner.

Day 6 Zeller-Fusch - At Leisure

Take time out to discover the local area further today and, if you're feeling active, the area surrounding your hotel offers a great range of walking trails. There is also the option to join the excursion to Zell am See and Kaprun. Our first stop is the Gorge of Kaprun, where we will walk along the gorge with a local hiking guide. Breathe in the refreshing air and enjoy the magical views in these stunning surroundings. After this memorable experience, we'll continue on to Zell am See where we board a boat for a panoramic tour around the lake, before enjoying some free time in the town.

Day 7 Kitzbühel & Maria Alm

Today we'll head to the world-famous ski destination of Kitzbühel, where one of the most demanding ski races “Hahnenkam” takes place once a year. We'll enjoy a cable car ride to the top, to see the Alps from above. We'll return down to the coach and continue on to Maria Alm, where you'll have free time to explore. This beautiful village offers options for lunch or a coffee, and a stroll before we return to the hotel for our last dinner together. Meals included: B,D

Day 8 Munich - UK

Today we transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK. Meals included: B

Today’s excursion takes us to the high-altitude hiking area of the Wildkogel. We will meet a local guide at the start of the cable car who will accompany us up the mountain. Average group size of our tours

Our holiday group sizes do vary from tour to tour - but we have an average group size of 26. Big or small, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to socialise with your fellow travellers. So, whether you fancy making friends at mealtimes or feel like being friendly by the pool, you’re guaranteed a great time whatever size your group is.

Deposit information

When you book a holiday, you will be asked to pay a deposit, this will be made clear at the time of booking. In most cases we will charge the following deposit amount;

  • UK Holidays - £150 per person
  • European Holidays - £200 Per person
  • Worldwide Holidays - £250 or 10% whichever is the greater

On some holidays we may charge a slightly higher deposit, to cover any costs we have to pay immediately to secure your booking with our suppliers. This will be made clear at the time of booking.

If you choose a tour that is within 84 days of departure you will need to pay the full balance when you book.

Our cancellation policy

If you decide to cancel your confirmed booking you must notify us (or your travel agent) in writing, as soon as possible. Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below.

  • More than 75 days before departure - Loss of deposit only
  • 43 - 74 days - 50% of tour price
  • 29 - 42 days - 75% of tour price
  • 15 - 28 days - 90% of tour price
  • Day of Departure - 14 days - 100% of tour price
